Peach Fuzz

Peach Fuzz, the 2024 color of the year announced by the Pantone Color Institute, is the dominant hue in this year's home color trend forecasts.

Peach Fuzz is a shade between pink and orange, described as a "soft, warm and cozy" hue that reflects "the need for a little quiet, peace and some rest."

"We chose a color that radiant warmth and modern elegance," says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

Peach Fuzz - this peachy hue is a fresher alternative to traditional pastel colors. It can be easily paired with neutrals and natural colours and is suitable for walls, textiles, glass, bathroom and bedroom products. It can also be used in combination with green, turquoise, purple and blue for vibrant contrast.

Metallic

Chrome, steel and aluminium - we're returning to these essential elements in home interiors in 2024. Pinterest provides a “Hot Metals” board – a selection of products and elements in the interiors that give a surreal aesthetic.

This choice is thought to be a natural consequence of the overload of earth tones - browns, beiges and shades of 'meditative' grey since 2020. The metallic finishes in the interiors are not seen as industrial, but rather reflective, enhancing the vibe the room already emits. In addition, one can choose whether the metal surface is shiny or brushed, giving a polished and sophisticated look.

Jewel Tones

The dominant neutral colors in the spaces of homes, begin to be complemented with accents or main elements of gemstone colors. The saturated hues of precious gems are giving the palette of 2024 design trends a sense of velvety mystery.

The New Romantics

Textiles with floral motifs, interior elements in pinks and reds, lace and ribbons, flowers - all this in the interior, can be sensual and provocative, when embraced with confidence.

“It’s a celebration of love, nostalgia, and savoring life’s simple pleasures.”

Romantic elements in interiors aren't limited to flowers, notes Dayna Isom Johnson, in-house trend expert at Etsy. The trend for shoppers on Etsy is to go for items in "juicy" tones, from bedding and and throw pillows to candlesticks, to add romance and coziness to their homes.
