Marbella, party in style1

Marbella, party in style

Ranked as the second favourite European destination for tourists this summer, against the backdrop of the Sierra Blanca, between Malaga and Gibraltar, the seaside resort of Marbella is an icon of style and partying. Beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, luxury stores and yachts all make for the perfect décor to a swanky getaway. Its little white streets, its old town and its port are ideal for leisurely strolls, and bars and tapas restaurants abound. On the outskirts of the city, the sublime Andalusia contains the treasures of a rich and turbulent history.

The real estate market

Prices have risen by over 40% in the space of five years but vary depending on the neighbourhood. Slightly below €3,000 per square metre around Elviria and Cabopino, over €3,100 per sq.m in San Pedro de Alcantara, €3,264 per sq.m in Las Chapas and El Rosario, and almost €4,000 per sq.m in Rio Real and Los Monteros. They reach their peak in the Nueva Andalucia sector (€4,050 per sq.m) and in Nagueles and the Golden Mile in particular (€4,557 per sq.m).

Our advice

“Our recommendations at the moment are the Golden Mile (Sierra Blanca and Cascada de Camojan), Nueva Andalucia and Sotogrande neighbourhoods. We’re here to guide you”.

“Now’s the time to sell! The market is at its highest since 2008. Demand is steady and fabulous properties are in rare supply”.

The secret to Marbella

With 70 courses, the Costa del Sol is one of the most prized places in Europe for golfers. Far from the nightlife of Marbella, the Sotogrande area is popular with sports lovers in search of nature. - Jeremy Lauwers, managing director of Marbella.
